Cbank: Net profit of Russian banks at 268 bln rbl in November
MOSCOW, Dec 21 (PRIME) -- The combined net profit of Russian banks increased by 5% on the month to 268 billion rubles in November, and reached 3 trillion rubles since January 1, the central bank said in a statement on Thursday.
Growth of the combined corporate loan portfolio of Russian banks slowed down to 2% in November after gaining 2.3% in October, while growth of the retail loan portfolio slowed down to 1.6% from 2.2%. Consumer lending added only 1% in the month, down from 1.1% in the previous month.
The increase in provision of mortgage loans decreased to 2.8% in November from 2.9% in the previous month. In physical terms, banks disbursed 726 billion rubles of mortgages last month, and the combined portfolio of mortgage loans grew to 17.9 trillion rubles, a 30.6% increase in January–November.
Corporate deposits with Russian banks rose by 2.6% in November, up from 0.2% in October, while the increase of retail deposits sped up to 2.1% from 1.4%.
